The Beach

Rachel and I spent the morning and afternoon at White Rock beach the other day. It was so much fun! She's the sweetest girl. We started out at the whale park (even though it no longer has a whale) I was so sad to see. I have sooo many memories at that park with my family. Its the weirdest feeling being there with her because it feels like yesterday that my dad was giving me underducks on those swings or Dan was chasing me across the bridge and then forcing me to go down the big slide against my will....Then after the park we went onto the beach and looked at neat stuff and got all wet.....we fed some birds on the pier and then had french fries in a little cafe. She liked that the best of course. Its so nice now that Lauren is in school all day because Smooch and I can just hang out and do things all day...she is still at the age where she is happy to go anywhere with me. But her favorite thing is to see "Stee" (steven) She talks about him alot and when we are in the car and she wants the windows open she makes sureee i open the passenger side window, cause thats stee's seat she says. ahha...even though hes no where in sight. haha..shes so cute..

So steven has officially left for Arkansas..this morning we had to get up at 3:45 to be at the airport. Quite early but i was so awake just being nervous and fretting. Its to sad. I went to his church this morning because i was working in the nursery and it was so hard being there without him. He is gone until April 22....55 more days and counting. So we got to the airport and had a nice early morning burger king breakfast..it was the only thing that was open...not so great..and then it was time to say goodbye....it was hard.....if i had not been mentally preparing for that moment since the first second i found out he was going, i dont think i would have survived it.hah..but we did it..he's off! i am excited for him....but then i had to walk in the dark to the parkade alone!! i never do anything scary alone anymore..he's always with me....and of course we parked in the economy lot....sooo far away from everything....oh well..i did it...

so now its after church..no one is home...its soo quiet and i keep checking my cell to see if hes called..even though hes still on the plane..its such a habit.....haa..i was so worried at the check in counter..i was like scoping everyone out..making sure they did not look scary or angry...haha...i didn't want steven flying on a dangerous jet!!! ahh..ok..i could go on forever and list all my worries..but i know its silly...i will be praying for steven everyday and i know he would appreciate your prayers! i will update again on how hes doing soon!

This is Steven and Joel running and sliding in the snow. At church this morning Joel was complaining of a burning feeling on his back...haha...no kidding..there was only the smallest skiff of snow! Problems already??

Hi everyone,,...whats with my little blog?....i dont know if it happens when others are viewing my blog on their own computer...but sometimes the titles for my posts will be there and then after you scroll down and come back up they have vanished..so strange!! its probably the most basic problem and i am just not getting it...its amazing how much time i can waste by just playing around with the settings and trying to fix things....oh well..in due time i will figure it all out.

The Beautiful Girls!!

Introducing Becky and Daisy! Most people either love them or hate them.ha...i think they are adorable, but they get made fun of alot by some people. Those few people are no longer welcome in my home. We reallllly spoil them. "We" meaning my whole family, not just my mom and I. Steven has even been known to get down on the floor and cuddle with them. He secretly loves them. When i am not in the room i listen and hear him talking to them so sweetly. haha...i love it!! They actually have bathing suits, but they are not wearing them in this picture. Actually this picture was taken a couple summers ago..The "captain kids" boat has since deflated but we quicky replaced it with the "water taxi"!!!!

What's going on right now

I thought i would start my letting everyone know where i am at right now in my life, and then as you follow my blog you won't be so lost. Right now i am still working as a nanny..which i have done for years. I am with an awesome family in Ocean Park. I enjoy being a nanny so much but it might soon come to an end. I will hopefully be going to school in September . I will keep you posted on that. Steven and I have been together now for over two years. Its going great. We enjoy each other so much and spend most, if not all of our spare time together. But that is soon going to change. This saturday he leaves for 2 months!!. He is going away to Arkansas for fire fighting school. I am so sad to see him go but i am just so proud too! I can not wait until April 22nd when he comes home. I am now the only child at home. Both Jamey and Daniel have moved out. In some ways its nice to have such a quiet house, the computer is always free, more parking space on the driveway, but its a little strange. They visit often enough though so its ok. And i will always have my prized dogs to keep me company!! I am sure their pictures will become quite the regular occurence on here..so watch out! Anyways..thats a little overview....more to come.
